How set iOS iPhone WiFi for cheating Camera

Usually you can use any Smartphone that is compatible with GSM 4G networks.
Very rarely it was reported that although connected to the mobile phone, the camera captured the images but did not reach Dropbox. This is caused by certain antiviruses or enabled phone protections that allowed the camera to connect to the phone but blocked access of the camera to the outside.

If the camera is connected to your phone and still the images do not reach Dropbox, try to make Hotspot from another phone. Attention: NEVER forget that when you use another device to connect the camera to the internet (phone, portable 4G router or fixed router) you should disable the hotspot function from the first device with which you made the test if it is still around you (<50m). Otherwise you will have 2 Wi-Fi networks with the same name that will conflict – the camera will not know which one to connect to.

Because there are many brands and models of mobile phones, there is no standard way to set up and enable the Wi-Fi network you need to have in order for the camera to connect to it. Every mobile phone manufacturer can customize the phone menu and so the interface will look different.

If your Mobile Phone that you want to use to connect the camera to the internet is an Android, it is not necessary to read this Chapter 1.2.

Mobile phones running in IOS have a very different menu from the android, but in principle the names of the functions are very similar, only their placement in the menu differs.

It is important to follow the steps below exactly in the following order:

  • Check that the camera is turned off,
  • Disable the Wi-Fi function of your phone,
  • Disable the Bluetooth function of the phone,
  • Disable the Mobile Data function,
  • Check that you have the 4G LTE band enabled, as some phones have the 3G selected and this can mean a low internet speed:
Enter Settings – Cellular – Cellular Data Options – Voice or in case of other versions of Iphone Settings – Cellular – Cellular Data Options – Voice and Data and select LTE or 4G and if a small window appears select Enable LTE
  • Setting the name of the Wi-Fi network – In case of an Iphone this thing takes place in a weirder way than on Android. You will need to enter Settings – General – About Here you will need to enter: net caffe
Warning: all characters in lower case (including the first letter) and WITH space between words!!
  • Enable the Mobile Data function,
  • Enable the Mobile Hotspot function – Personal Hotspot
If a small window appears select: Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth – Very Important!

After this window appears it is very important not to disable or enable Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Initially you disabled Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi. After the appearance of this window it is possible to reenable automatically: it is NOT necessary to disable them –DO NOT change anything or else you will have to repeat the steps from the beginning!

If a window which says: Set Up Personal Hotspot appears – contact Carrier or the Hotspot function cannot be enabled (a circle appears indicating that it is loading):

  • Click on Cancel – if this small window appears,
  • Enter Settings – Mobile – Mobile Data Network or in case of other Iphone versions enter Settings – Cellular – Cellular Network or in case of other Iphone versions enter Settings – Cellular – Cellular Data Options – Cellular Data Network
  • From MOBILE DATA or CELLULAR DATA copy what it writes at APN – scroll down to PERSONAL HOTSPOT and enter in APN what was written up to APN from Mobile Data.

If you have nothing entered in MOBILE DATA or CELLULAR DATA, you will have to search on Google the APN, Username and Password settings for the GSM operator of your SIM card. Depending on the GSM operator of your SIM card, the Username or Password do not have to contain any entered data – each GSM operator has its own settings.

If there is information entered in both Username and Password, you will have to copy it to Personal Hotspot as well. Return to the main menu, exit the settings and restart the mobile phone.

This menu may also contain LTE SETUP (OPTIONAL) – initially do not enter anything here, but if after following all the steps the internet does not work, you will have to return to this menu and at LTE SETUP (OPTIONAL) – APN, Username and Password you must copy from MOBILE DATA or CELLULAR DATA the same APN Username and Password.

To check if the internet works, after completing all the steps you can connect to the new network created by you with the name net caffe with password copiat2019 with any other phone or laptop and browse few internet pages to check if the internet works well.

Return to settings and try to enable Personal Hotspot. If a window with the Dismiss button appears, press it, then if the same window with Set Up Personal Hotspot appears, click Cancel. Exit the settings again. Return to settings – activate Personal Hotspot and this time the mobile phone should work or restart the phone once more.
Usually this situation is rare and you do not need to follow this step.

Enter the Personal Hotspot function Settings: Settings – Personal Hotspot or in case of other Iphone phones Settings – Mobile – Set Up Personal Hotspot.

  • Some newer phones have: Allow Others to Join – you will need to enable the function (Enable – with green)
  • Touch Wi-Fi Password – here you will set the Wi-Fi network connection password
  • Enter: copiat 2019 and then click Done
  • If you leave the net caffe network without a password (Open) the camera will not be able to connect!!!

Warning: All characters in lower case (including the first letter) and NO space!!!
Ensure that both the hotspot function (Personal Hotspot) and the mobile data function (Cellular) are active. If somehow the personal hotspot function has been disabled while you made the above settings, you only need to repeat these steps in the following order:

  • Check that the camera is turned off,
  • Disable the Wi-Fi function of your phone,
  • Disable the Bluetooth function of the phone,
  • Disable the Mobile Data function,
  • Enable the Mobile Data function,
  • Enable the Mobile Hotspot function – Personal Hotspot

If a small window appears select: Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth – Very Important!
After the appearance of this small window where you selected Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth it is important not to disable the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or mobile data. You can only check if Mobile Data (Cellular) and Personal Hotspot are enabled.
The Hotspot function cannot be disabled automatically as long as the camera is connected to the phone!

Only after you have followed all the above steps can you turn on the camera. About a minute after turning on the camera, a blue stripe will appear at the top of the screen, indicating that you have a new device connected. This means that the mini camera is connected to your phone.

On Iphone phones, at least until the time of writing this product user manual, IOS does not have the ability to hide the Wi-Fi network (a function available only on Samsung) or the Connected Devices function with the help of which you can see when the camera connects to your phone with IOS but also the name of the camera.

Instead, on the Iphone, when the camera connects to your phone, a blue stripe will appear at the top of the screen that reads: a newly connected device.
